O'Keefe Communications, a media event and communications production company, hired me to take care of a number of jobs for them as a contractor during the late summer/fall period. My roles included that of a graphic designer, preparing digital resources for post-production, and assembling Keynote presentations for a number of clients. During my time there I worked on projects for Clark Construction, the American Society of Landscape Architects, the US Postal Service, and the Smithsonian Institute. In particular, I developed the visual aesthetic, ID, and, ultimately, the final show presentation, for the Smithsonian's 2008 Philatelic Gala Awards, examples of which are shown here.
For Laureate Education, Inc.'s Master of Business and Administration, I developed a series of interactive presentations in PDF format that would be downloaded by students and used in place of a lecture session. My duties included interpreting various graphs and slides, applying a pre-set template to them, and creating visual themes using Apple's Keynote presentation software. For the graphs and charts that explained the workflow of marketing, I opted for translucent colors and reflective images to give an otherwise flat presentation depth and interest.
Similar to Laureate Education, Inc.'s MBA program presentations, I developed presentations for the Masters of Public Health program. Utilizing an interactive interface embedded into the PDF using Javascript, these presentations included audio files as well as 3D graphics and modified stock photos. Application of a pre-set template was used in these presentations, but the 3D graphics were originals created specifically for these presentations, and were recieved well among staff and students.
